This well provides water to 1 family, totaling 6 people. Prior to access to clean water, the adults would often get fever, stomach aches and coughs, and the children would get disease on their skin / itchy all the time.
The family are unskilled farmers and live in an old house.
This well provides water to 1 family, totaling 8 people. The husband works in a far away province doing construction work. Once a month he returns home, and then back to work again. The wife works very hard to look after the children and does the housework alone. The adults had gotten fever, headache, and stomach aches sometimes. And their child had gotten pneumonia. Having a clean source of water should help to dramatically improve their lives!

The husband sometimes goes to town to earn more money to support his family, but the wage he earns is very low.
