This latrine serves a family of 4. The family are farmers as well as do additional jobs to support their children and pay for their studies. Prior to the building of this latrine, they would have to walk to a field far from their house and dig land, or to go to the forest. During the rainy season it is easy to get disease. This latrine should help improve hygiene and health, the family is very excited to receive it.
This well provides water to 2 families, totaling 12 people. Their living conditions are difficult – they have a small farm where they grow vegetables and rice, but the output is not enough to make ends meet. They do other low-wage jobs to supplement this, but still do not earn enough money. This well should help them to improve health and hygiene.
